T.I.N. Policy

Appeals Policy

How to ask for review of an eligible moderation decision.

Effective 3 Aug 2026

Eligible decisions and timing

You may appeal an eligible T.I.N. decision affecting your content, account, or access, such as a label, removal, feature restriction, suspension, or account action. Use the in-product appeal control when shown, or contact us with the decision notice, affected URL or handle, and your reason for appeal.

Submit promptly after the decision. We may set reasonable time limits, rate limits, and verification requirements to protect the process, but we will consider a late appeal where required by law or where there is a compelling reason.

Review and outcomes

Where practicable, a reviewer who was not the original decision-maker will reassess the relevant information, policy, and context. We may ask for additional information, preserve the original action while we review, or take interim safety measures.

We may uphold, modify, or reverse a decision. We will provide an outcome and a meaningful reason where appropriate, subject to security, privacy, legal, and anti-abuse limits. Reversal does not prevent action on separate violations; an upheld decision does not limit rights you may have under applicable law.

Fair use of the process

Do not use appeals to harass staff, retaliate against reporters, submit forged material, or repeatedly raise the same issue without new information. We may limit abusive use while keeping an accessible channel for legitimate concerns.

This process does not replace emergency services, a data-protection complaint, a court process, or another statutory remedy. Privacy-related concerns may also be raised under our Privacy Policy.
